City of Flora issued the following announcement on June 25.
City of Flora fireworks are still a go for Sunday, July 5th at dark. They will still be set off on the south end of town. The test run last night allowed them to make some adjustments to help people see them better. If you were unable to see from your yard and if you go to another area in town, please be mindful of where you are parking, so that driveways don't get blocked and streets are still accessible to emergency vehicles if needed. We all know due to the Covid-19 pandemic things have to be done differently this year, but the City is working hard to bring fireworks for everyone to enjoy and are doing the best they can to make it happen. And don't forget that the Flora Firemen will be at Flora Walmart on Friday 4 to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to noon taking donations for the fireworks. If you can't make it at that time to make a donation, then checks can be made payable to the Flora Fire Department and dropped off or mailed to City Hall.
