City of Flora issued the following announcement on June 18.
There Will be Fireworks In Flora! They will be on Sunday, July 5th. They will not be at Charley Brown Park. You will be able to watch from your Flora yards by looking South. Here is how it will work.on Tuesday, June 23rd, there will be a test run on the fireworks at 9 pm. This will give everyone a chance to see if they need to find another location to watch from. Conducting fireworks in the manner goes along with the guidelines currently in place from the Illinois Department of Public Health. So plan your BBQ's and watch fireworks from your yard on Sunday, July 5th! The City of Flora Volunteer Fire Department will be taking donations to help with the cost of the fireworks on Friday, June 19th, from 4 to 6 pm and Saturday, June 20th from 11 am to 2 pm at the Flora Walmart.
