The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism issued the following announcement on June 7.
Eastern Illinois Foodbank (EIF) is distributing food to area families struggling with food insecurity. The drive-through distribution will be held at 518 E. Jasper St. in Paris, Illinois on 06/20/2020 from 9:30 – 10:30am. Anyone planning to attend should visit www.eifclient.com to preregister, but please note that doing so will not hold a place in line. This distribution is provided by support from Longview Bank & Trust.
In compliance with CDC guidelines, clients will remain in their cars and food will be loaded into their vehicle by volunteers. Clients should clear space in their trunk or back seat prior to arriving at the distribution to prevent contact.
This distribution is part of the USDA's Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). The distribution will include one or a combination of the following pre-packaged boxes (subject to availability):
-Mixed Box of Produce
-Mixed Box of Dairy Items
-Pre-cooked Meal or Meat
