Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clark County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Clark County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that two men and one woman were released in Clark County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 38-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kara S. Sappington. She was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2018 when she was 37 years old. She is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Clark County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
