Charleston home prices fall in August 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2019 in Charleston fell by $6,000 while total sales decreased by 3.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2019, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $100,000 - a 5.7% decrease over the $106,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in Charleston in August 2018.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,119, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for August 2019.
