• Annual Financial Report: Normally, the Annual Financial Report (audit) is presented to the Board of Education at the October meeting. However, this year the district is required to complete a single audit. This is based on the fact that we received more than $750,000 in Federal grants last fiscal year. The single audit is a more intensive look at the district's finances and operations. Robin Yockey requested more time to complete the audit. The report will be ready for the November meeting. ALICE Training: District staff will receive

• ALICE training from local law enforcement on November 6th. The focus of ALICE is how to train and respond to active shooters and other man-made disturbances. The term ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate.

• District/School Report Cards: Report cards will be released to the public on October 30th. Administrators will supply information to the BOE at either the November or December meeting.

Approved by consent agenda were the Open and Closed Minutes of the September 19th, 2019 meeting and the September 2019 Expenditure, Payroll, Activity, Revolving Fund and Treasurer's report

First reading of Board Policy 7:180: Prevention of and Response to Bullying, Intimidation and Harassment. This policy is on review this month and approved at the November meeting.

Denise Bence gave a presentation on the requirements of Special Education and how is it implemented at Shelbyville CUSD #4.

Mr. Schuricht discussed our Worker's Compensation renewal and recommend that we put Worker's Comp out for bid for coverage from January 1, 2020 through June 20th, 2020 and rebid July 1st, 2020 which will align our dates of coverage with the other district insurance policies.
