City of Flora issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
The City of Flora is accepting applications for Lifeguards and Assistant Manager at the Flora
Swimming Pool, Charley Brown Park. There is no Flora residency requirement for this position.
Applications may be picked up at Flora City Hall, 131 E. Second Street (Monday – Friday 9:00
a.m.-4:30 p.m.) All applications submitted need to be current regardless of previous
employment. Applicant requirements include 16 years of age by Memorial Day weekend and
current lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross. If not currently certified,
employment may be offered conditional upon certification by Memorial Day. Return
completed applications to Flora City Hall by 4:30 p.m. on January 31, 2020. Applications may
also be mailed to: Flora City Hall, P.O. Box 249, Flora, IL 62839, by the indicated date and time.
