City of Casey issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.
Sarah Bush Lincoln Casey Clinic staff member Rebecca Daugherty received the second quarter Bravo! President's Award for a simple act of kindness shown to a clinic patient.
Her nominator wrote, "When we were at the SBL Casey Clinic with Orthopedic Surgeon Eric Brewer, DO, we had a patient of Diana Oakley’s that does not drive and relies on public transportation. Rebecca Daugherty, LPN, took the initiative to pick up the patient from her home, and asked her sister pick up the patient after her appointment and take her to the senior center. This is really going above and beyond for every SBL patient. Without Rebecca and her kind consideration, the patient would not have been able to make it to her orthopedic appointment for her fracture. Dr. Brewer, myself, and his other nurse, Brittany, and the patient really do appreciate what Rebecca and her sister did today!"
The Bravo! President's Award is the highest level of recognition bestowed on employees.
