Q4 2018 Recap: Parolees in Shelby County convicted of crimes involving alcohol

There was an offender convicted of a crime involving alcohol released on parole in Shelby County during the fourth quarter of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The data shows that the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2018 when he was 48 years old. He is now 49.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
