2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 62451?

There were six offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 62451, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in the Palestine zip code. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old woman convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was James Miller. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016, when he was 58 years old. He is now 60.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
