Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Edgar County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Edgar County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that six men and one woman were released in Edgar County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2014, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jonathan T. Wells. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2014 when he was 20 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Edgar County municipality.
