Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Richland County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Richland County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that six men and five women were released in Richland County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2017, and the oldest was a 56-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael R. Voyles. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 37 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Richland County municipality.
