Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clay County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Clay County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and three women were released in Clay County. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Everett E. Elledge. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 31 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Clay County municipality.
