Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Douglas County?

There were two offenders released on parole during that live in Douglas County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Douglas County were men. The younger parolee was a 32-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017. The other was a 35-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ryan Yates. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 30 years old. He is now 32.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Douglas County municipality.
