Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clay County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Clay County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in Clay County. The median age of the parolees was 43. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 67-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Douglas L. Andruss. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 62 years old. He is now 67.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Clay County municipality.
