Illinois General Assembly: HR31 To Income Tax Subcommittee

The following action was taken on Feb. 28 in the House on House bill HR31 ("opposes graduated income tax"): "To Income Tax Subcommittee."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. David McSweeney (R-52) on Jan. 10, "states the belief that the Illinois Constitution should not be amended to permit a graduated income tax," according to the General Assembly website.

The following house representatives also co-sponsored the bill: Mark Batinick (R-97), Brad Halbrook (R-102), Margo McDermed (R-37), David A. Welter (R-75) and Jerry Costello, II (D-116).
