Unpaid fines for Oblong-based campaign committee totaled $900 in August 2018

One campaign committee in Oblong has overdue fines amounting to a total of $900, records obtained by the East Central Reporter show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Elect Earl L. Deckard was the only campaign committee in Oblong that was delinquent in payment for August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens to Elect Earl L. Deckard has yet to pay was imposed on March 24, 2017, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $850.
