Unpaid fines for Hidalgo-based campaign committee totaled $1,275 in August 2018

One campaign committee in Hidalgo has overdue fines amounting to a total of $1,275, records obtained by the East Central Reporter show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Citizens to Bring Illinois Back was the only campaign committee in Hidalgo that was delinquent in payment for August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Citizens to Bring Illinois Back has yet to pay was imposed on Aug. 30, 2018, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $700.
