Unpaid fines for Effingham-based campaign committee totaled $191 in August 2018

One campaign committee in Effingham has overdue fines amounting to a total of $191, records obtained by the East Central Reporter show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Effingham County United for Schools was the only campaign committee in Effingham that was delinquent in payment for August 2018, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The largest fine that Effingham County United for Schools has yet to pay was imposed on Dec. 22, 2017, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $125.
