Analysis: Kansas administrators rank 832nd in state for average pay

Administrators in Kansas Community Unit School District 3 earn an average of $63,183 per year, ranking 832nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 26.3% lower than in 2014 and 30.1% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 41.1% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Edgar County school district enrolled 214 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 89 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
