Administrators in Palestine Community Unit School District 3 earn an average of $71,493 per year, ranking 809th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 18.3% lower than in 2014 and 8.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 33.4% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Crawford County school district enrolled 304 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 129 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
