Analysis: Red Hill administrators rank 791st in state for average pay

Administrators in Red Hill Community Unit School District 10 earn an average of $75,188 per year, ranking 791st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 7.5% lower than in 2014 and 7.7% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 29.9% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Lawrence County school district enrolled 968 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 204 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
