Report: Shiloh spent $10,020 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Shiloh Community Unit School District 1 is up 9.6 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Edgar County school district spent $9,143 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,020 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 407 to 399.

Shiloh's spending in 2017-18 was 24.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
