Report: Oblong spent $9,905 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oblong Community Unit School District 4 is down 4.4 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Crawford County school district spent $10,356 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,905 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 593 to 612.

Oblong's spending in 2017-18 was 25.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
