Cumberland County votes to keep Second Amendment

Cumberland County said "yes" to a Second Amendment referendum on Nov. 6.

County voters approved the question on the Nov. 6 ballot: "Should the Illinois General Assembly protect a citizen's right to keep and bear arms as defined by he Second Amendment of the United States Constitution?"

With 100 percent of the votes counted, 3,959 were in favor and 263 opposed the referendum.
