EFFINGHAM COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Chamber Travel Destinations for 2019

Effingham County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce has three exciting travel destinations planned for 2019.

The Panama Discovery trip features a day trip through the Panama Canal, a tour of Panama City, the Anton Valley Eco-Park Tour and the Embera Tribe, and a stay at Playa Bonita Resort. Travel dates are February 20-28, 2019.

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 5:30pm at the Effingham Performance Center Donor Lounge.

Maritimes Coastal Wonders departs July 8, 2018 for 11 days touring Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, St. John and the Western Shore. From the rugged Cabot Trail to the amazing Fundy tides, travelers will experience the Anne of Green Gables and Alexander Graham Bell museums, the region’s Gaelic heritage and its rich seafaring history.

An informational meeting on this trip is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Effingham Performance Center Donor Lounge.

The Memorials of World War II trip to England and France in October, 2019 is nearly full with only six seats available. In observance of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, this trip includes highlights including the Churchill War Rooms, Pegasus Bridge, the beaches at Juno, Sword, Utah and Omaha, the Memorial Peace Museum, and an opportunity to tour Windsor Castle. The trip ends with dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Individuals interested in this trip should contact Norma Lansing at the Chamber office at 217-342-4147 to learn if seats are available.

Chamber Destinations travel is open to everyone. You do not have to be a Chamber member to enjoy these trips of a lifetime.
