How much has Casey-Westfield CUSD 4C overspent over the past 10 years?

Casey Westfield Community Unit School District 4C accumulated $8.76 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Casey-Westfield CUSD 4C reported 7.8 percent less revenue. At the same time, total spending went down 11.5 percent. The resulting deficit shrunk by 44.5 percent from 2008 to 2017.
