Mattoon Public Library Board of Trustees met April 9.

Consent Agenda: Bills, Treasurer’s Report, Circulation Report, Minutes from
March 2018. Motion made to accept Consent Agenda by Karpus, second by Ray.
Motion Carried.
Committee Report: Finance Committee met March 22nd and the budget was sent
out in advance for review. Sheehan memorial is $100, not $200. Motion was made
by Ray to approve the 2018-19 budget, second by Rankin. Motion Carried.
Director’s Report: Sent out in advance for review. Walworth attended the
Readers’ bridge meeting and is pleased with the direction MPL is headed. MMS
game club is a success and story time has had record numbers. Reminder Peter
Fletcher, Classical Guitarist will be here Friday, April 20th, 7-8:30 pm to perform.
Flyers were available to post accordingly. Chris Suerdieck continues to be a
tremendous help with our local history room and we are planning an open house on
May 6th.
Discussion: Kimberlin and Bradbury board terms are up in June. Kimberlin will
not continue and Bradbury is considering. Two proposed candidates are interested
as well as a few others. Plan to discuss and have on agenda for May meeting.
