Illinois residents paid $11,678 to attend the four-year public institution this year $98 more than the $11,580 charged for 2016-17.
Non-residents paid 18.8 percent more than residents this year, or $13,868. Their price tag grew 0.9 percent from $13,740 in 2016-17.
About 87 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. About 10 percent are residents of other states and 3 percent are citizens of other countries.
Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,062 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.97 million and 791 students took out student loans totaling more than $5.67 million.
Including all undergraduates, 5,416 students used grants or scholarships totaling $40.83 million. Another 4,585 took out $31.77 million in federal student loans.
