EFFINGHAM COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Employee of the Year Announced at Chamber Luncheon

Effingham County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 21.

Jane Summers was honored as the 2018 Employee of the Year at the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce’s 44th Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon.

Summers has been with Siemer Milling Company in Teutopolis for twenty years and she recently advanced to Administrative Assistant. Her job duties involve organizing events, providing administrative and secretarial support, and taking assignments for the VP of Production and the VP of Grain Supply. Jane also assits in planning the semiannual Community Celebration of Excellence Breakfast, is part of Siemer’s Meals on Wheels team, and helps out with recycling efforts.

Effingham Mayor Jeff Bloemker signed a proclamation announcing Friday, May 4, as Jane Summers in the City of Effingham.

Donna Moody, manager, trainer, and organizational developer for AAIM Employer’s Association and Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University was the guest speaker. Her topic ‘Humor in the Workplace’, demonstrated how to use humor as a connection; understanding why we laugh; and releasing tension with humor and expanding our humor skill set.
