Report: Shiloh spent $9,891 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Shiloh Community Unit School District 1 is down 4 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Edgar County school district spent $10,327 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,891 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 430 to 413.

Shiloh's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
