Report: Dieterich spent $8,321 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Dieterich Community Unit School District 30 is down 3 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Effingham County school district spent $8,613 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,321 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 454 to 490.

Dieterich's spending in 2016-17 was 36 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
