Report: Clay City spent $10,227 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Clay City Community Unit School District 10 is down 0 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clay County school district spent $10,272 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,227 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 350 to 326.

Clay City's spending in 2016-17 was 21 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
