Analysis: Shelbyville pays $4.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Shelbyville Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.8 percent of the $77,080 the Shelbyville Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Shelbyville contributed $62,315 to the fund, which saw a $847 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $14,765, or 19.2 percent, in 2016.
