Analysis: Lawrenceville pays $5.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lawrenceville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.3 percent of the $203,436 the Lawrenceville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lawrenceville contributed $171,516 to the fund, which saw a $55,408 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $31,919, or 15.7 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
