The Board of Education of Allendale School District #17, Wabash County, Illinois, met in regular session on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. The meeting was held at the Allendale School, 101 N. Third Street, Allendale, IL. Acting-President Beth Etzkorn called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM.
The following members were present: Gary Buchanan Beth Etzkorn Richard Gochenour Miles Marcotte Tia Morgan Amanda Thombleson Mike Wilson
Also present was Superintendent Bob Bowser, Secretary Sarah Courter, Treasurer Debbie Hipsher, and guest from the Mt. Carmel Register, Haley Church.
APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA
Richard Gochenour made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: Minutes of the Regular Meeting held Wednesday, December 21, 2016; Financial Reports – Treasurer’s Report, Activity Fund, Imprest Fund; Gross Payrolls, and Bills exclusive of Payroll. Upon said motion being seconded by Mike Wilson, President Gary Buchanan put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

STAFF – None
ADMINISTRATION – Superintendent Bob Bowser gave updates on the following: Financial Update - Purchased Textbooks with Title I money; State owes us for Transportation, Special Education Personnel, Preschool, etc. ; Facility Update - Third Grade classroom had the carpet cleaned due to ventilator leak, State Fire Marshall checked boiler room/air compressor tanks; front, outside carpet had a three foot piece that is flapping up, security cameras are installed (total of 13 inside and 10 outside) Sports Update- volleyball starting soon, basketball is having a winning season overall for the “A” Team (#1 Seat in Regional); Transportation Update; Building Fund Update; Other - the Allendale Alumni Group gave the Allendale Foundation a monetary donation.

DISCUSSION OF HEALTH/LIFE SAFETY ITEMS
Ed Kerkover, our district architect, presented Health/Life Safety issues he has observed. This is necessary in order to update our 10-year Health/Life Safety Plan. No action needed at this time.
NEW BUSINESS -
SUPERINTENDENT EVALUATION Mike Wilson made the motion to approve the Superintendent evaluation as presented. Upon said motion being seconded by Richard Gochenour, the President put the question and the roll being called, the following members voted:

APPROVAL OF CERTIFIED SENIORITY LIST FOR 2016-2017 Beth Etzkorn moved to approve the Certified Seniority List for 2016-2017 as presented. (copy follows) Upon said motion being seconded by Amanda Thombleson, the voice vote was taken and the motion carried.

Tia Morgan moved to adjourn to Closed Session at 6:35 P.M. for Reason #1 - Appointments, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees. Upon said motion being seconded by Tia Morgan, the President put the question, and the roll being called, the following members voted:
