Tolono Board of Trustees discuss employee compensation

The village of Tolono Board of Trustees met Aug. 26 to discuss employee compensation.

Here are them meeting's minutes, as provided by the board:

VILLAGE OF TOLONO SPECIAL BOARD MEETING August 26, 2016

A Special Meeting of the Village of Tolono was held on August, 2016 and was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Board President Jeff Holt, Trustee Rena Anderson, Trustee Rob Murphy, Trustee Mike Golish, Trustee Jacquie Miller, Trustee Terrence Stuber and Trustee Ryan Perry. Absent was Clerk Dixie Phillips. Also present was attorney Marc R. Miller.

The President led the Board and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance. It was noted that notice of the Special Meeting had been duly posted with copies emailed to the press and to the Board at least 48 hours prior to the meeting,

The President entertained comment from the public. There was none.

Trustee Golish motioned to enter into Executive Session for the limited purposes of discussing the hiring, performance, compensation and/or employment of one or more Village employees. Trustee Stuber seconded the motion. There was a roll call vote:

Trustee Anderson - Aye Trustee Murphy - Aye Trustee Golish - Aye Trustee Miller - Aye Trustee Perry - Aye Trustee Stuber - Aye

The motion carried. The Board entered into Executive Session at 6:03 p.m.

The Board returned to Open Session at 6:59 p.m.

Trustee Golish motioned as follows: "Based on information provided to the Board by the Village Auditor, I hereby move that the Board hereby make a finding that there has been employee misconduct sufficient to result in terminating the employment of Nicole Graham, that her employment is hereby terminated, and that the Village shall provide her with written notice of such termination." There was a second by Trustee Perry. Roll call VOte:

Trustee Anderson - Aye Trustee Murphy - Aye Trustee Golish - Aye Trustee Miller - Aye Trustee Perry - Aye Trustee Stuber - Aye

Trustee Murphy motioned to adjourn. There was a second by Trustee Stuber. The motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
