The Arcola School District #306 board of education met at 5 p.m. May 11 to approve the tentative amended budget for the 2015-2016 school year and to set an amended budget hearing for 7 p.m. on June 10.
The board of education also approved the contract agreement with CTS; the amended calendar, which removes the three emergency days that were not used; the first reading of the handbooks for the 2016-2017 school year; the five-year lease with Pitney Bowes at a price of $56 a month for the high school machine and $50 a month for the elementary machine; the renewal of the Property Casualty as presented at the meeting; the five-year lease agreement with Watts Copies; the quote from Consolidated Communication in the amount of $21,987.40 for a phone system; and the quote of $12,320 from Mid-State Construction and Roofing Inc. for the replacement and installation of a 30-year warranty roof over the high school art room area.
The meeting took place at the Arcola High School Library, located at 351 W. Washington St.
