The Arcola School District 306 education board will gather for a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in order to move forward on performance contracting services at Arcola High School.

With President Chad Strader presiding, the meeting will begin with a communications segment intended to let members of the audience address the board on any matters of concern not already listed on the agenda. Speakers are customarily limited to five minutes apiece.

In new business, the board will consider approval of a letter of intent (LOI) for a qualified provider of performance contracting services for the district. The proposed action on the table will be that the board move to approve the selection of a district provider.

The meeting is scheduled for the high school library. Arcola High School is located at 351 W. Washington St.

The Arcola Community Unit School District 306 board of education is comprised of seven elected officials who serve as policy makers for the district.

Current board members, in addition to Strader, include Vice President James Crane, Secretary Traci Watson, Ginger Kielhorn, Robert Arrol, Randy Rothrock and Rev. William Reece. All seven members have obtained Professional Leadership Training for School Board Members certification.
