The Tuscola City Council will review paper shredding, permits and planning at tonight's meeting.
Paper shredding, pool repairs, permits, private bonds and public restrooms will top Tuscola, Illinois City Council’s agenda at 7:30 p.m. today, March 28, at its regular meeting at City Hall.
The meeting is open to all residents and will include a public comment period directly following a call to order and opening activities. Any citizens wishing to address the council on matters not already included in the agenda will have an opportunity to speak at this time.
A consent agenda will comprise approval of previous meeting minutes, reports and bill payment, including invoices from Building Systems of Illinois, and an agreement for the Tuscola Kiwanis Club to orchestrate a paper-shredding event at Ervin Park on June 18.
In pending business, council members will review an ordinance regarding ceding private activity bonding authority; a contract with the Farnsworth Group for architectural services pertaining to public restrooms, and a request for the city to purchase a 2016 Ford F4450 from Morrow Brothers Ford at a cost of $61,455.
Additionally, the council will address a planning commission recommendation for a special use permit at 600 E. Wilson; and discuss swimming pool repairs.
City Hall is located at 214 N. Main St. Tuscola City Council’s next meeting is slated for April 11.
