Edgar county population decreased by 64 people between 2017 and 2018, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey. Since 2010 the population has decreased by 1,237 people.

The Illinois county that saw the largest population growth between the same time period was Champaign County, with a total increase of 1,502 residents.

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey by the U.S. Census Bureau.
