Village of Montgomery Intergovernmental Committee met July 28.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
I. Call to Order – Trustee Sperling called the meeting to order at 6:10P. II. Roll Call
Present: Village Clerk Debbie Buchanan, Trustee Matt Bauman, Trustee Ben Brzoska, Trustee Dan Gier, Trustee Doug Marecek, Trustee Steve Jungermann, and Trustee Theresa Sperling
Also present: Communications Manager Kristina Nemetz, Village Administrator Jeff Zoephel, Director of Public Works Mark Wolf, Community Engagement & Event Coordinator Rosie Boeing, Chief of Police Phil Smith, Accounting Manager Lexi Hansen
Absent: Village President Matt Brolley, Assistant Village Administrator Meghan Ostreko, Director of Community Development Sonya Abt, Economic Development Manager Patrick Burke
III. Trustee Sperling opened the meeting for public comment. There was none.
IV. Approval of the minutes of the Intergovernmental Committee Meeting of June 23, 2025.
Trustee Sperling asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the June 23 meeting.
Trustee Brzoska made a motion to approve.
Trustee Gier seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
V. Items for Discussion
Montgomery Fest plans are in motion. We are set to have an amazing 40th anniversary celebration. A detailed presentation was given that outlined this year’s entertainment and event schedule, new activations, and logistical changes that have been made to improve the overall event experience for this year. The presentation is attached to this packet.

With no further business, Trustee Brzoska moved to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Marecek seconded the motion. Trustee Sperling adjourned the meeting at 6:50P. Motion carried.
