With four Trustees and President Brad Hardiek present, a quorum was declared to be present. Also at the meeting were: Village Clerk Brittny Gipson and Wright Family Center Director Traci Bruns.

Wright Family Center Director, Traci Bruns, reviewed her January monthly report on financials, facility usage, and memberships. The youth basketball league season will be wrapping up soon, but there will be volleyball camps and kickboxing classes starting. Also in March, there will be a job fair hosted by the Dieterich Business Association and a trivia night hosted by the Dieterich Community Education Foundation.

Traci updated the Board on the continuing condensation issues throughout all parts of the Wright Family Center. AKRA and Farnsworth are still trying to diagnose and repair the issues. Farnsworth spent time with a thermal camera taking many photos. The thermal camera showed cold spots where the condensation could be coming from. A full report from Farnsworth will be coming soon.

Mike Campbell was not present for his water, sewer, and streets department report.

A TIF incentive application submitted by Life Story Behavioral Health was reviewed. The former Dieterich Medical Center building is planned for purchase and renovations. This will be a behavioral health clinic with multiple providers offering mental health and outpatient psychiatric services. The total project investment would be $330,000 and a $40,000 TIF incentive was requested for the remodel of the building to be able to convert the facility from a pharmacy set up to a healthcare provider set up. The Board agreed to send the TIF incentive request to the village attorney for her to draft an agreement. The agreement will be subject to review at a later meeting.

A TIF incentive application submitted by Seed Life was reviewed. The former Wright’s warehouse building is being leased by Seed Life to treat, store, and distribute their corn, soybean, and wheat seed. They need to make improvements to the building’s electrical system, and the restrooms, office and conference facilities need modernized. The total investment for improvements will be $30,534.62, but no specific dollar amount for the incentive was requested in the application. The Board discussed a $4,000 incentive was in line with other past incentives of this nature and they agreed to send this request to the village attorney for her to draft an agreement.
