Horizon Health is organizing a discounted health screening event at its Paris Clinic on Friday, November 7, from 7 to 9 am. The screenings will be conducted by Leighsa Cornwell, RN, CDCES, who is a certified diabetes care and education specialist.

Participants can receive blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipid panel screenings—including HDL, LDL, and triglycerides—for $25. An A1c test that measures average blood sugar over the past two to three months can be added for an additional $10. Payment methods accepted include cash, debit or credit cards, and checks. Insurance will not be billed for these services.

For those planning to undergo the blood sugar test, fasting for eight hours before the screening is required. The tests are performed using a fingerstick method with results provided before leaving the clinic.
