Shane Schuricht reported:

• Eastern Illinois Area Special Education (EIASE) Event: On December 10th, 1 attended an event at EIASE with area administrators and legislators, and listened to their attorney Brandon Wright discuss seclusion and restraint of students in schools. This is in response to the Chicago Tribune investigation about these topics and the reactions of the Governor and the Illinois State Board of Education. EIASE was a topic in the newspaper's investigation.

• Additional Title 1/11 Funds: At then end of November, the district received notification that an additional $33,000 of funding would be added to the district's Title I and Title Il grants. This will allow the district to pay for some items out of Title funds that were going to come from district funds (Single Audit fee, QNS charges, etc.) and Russ is going to pick out some tables and chairs for the middle school.

• Anonymous Donors: The school district received a check for $2035 from an anonymous donor to pay for the outstanding balances of students that are currently designated as free lunch students. At times, students accumulate outstanding balances until they receive a free lunch designation. Thanks to the generosity of this person or persons, those debts are now gone!

• Bus Update: The new buses have been delayed. They are still being outfitted with cameras.
