The Charleston Carnegie Public Library board of trustees met March 7 to approve the Non-Resident Card Program participation for a fee that is to remain at $95.

The motion was passed unanimously.

The board of trustees also discussed the library fundraiser plans and responsibilities for the Aug. 19 event; discussed the officer election; and discussed filing an Economic Statement of Interest.

In accordance with Illinois State Statues (75 ILCS 5/4-1), the mayor of the City of Charleston appoints nine residents to serve as trustees of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library. The board of trustees acts as a governing board, establishing all library policies.
