The Illinois Chamber of Commerce has announced its Title VII webinar registration.

Sponsored by a Chicago-based law firm and taught by attorney Katherine Mendez, a webinar presentation on Title VII is slated from 10:30 a.m. to noon on March 16 and is now open for registration.

The online seminar, called “Understanding Title VII and the Myriad of Employment Laws,” will present an overview of the many employment regulations that Illinois employers at all levels are required to handle, from federal and state to county and local jurisdictions.

Business owners can benefit from learning about “hot spots” in their employment policy administration. Instructor Mendez will explain not only how to identify issues but also how to respond with appropriate techniques, emphasizing the value of properly documenting performance management and discipline issues.

Additionally, the 90-minute webinar will feature current trends to keep an eye on during 2016. Cost of the event is $159, with a reduced price of $129 for Illinois Chamber members. Professional development credits are available. To register, visit www.ilchamber.org/events.

Mendez is an associate with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an international AmLaw 100 firm and serves as a member of the Labor and Employment Department in Chicago.
