Play in the second round of the Ohio Valley Conference men’s golf championship was stopped on April 27 due to weather conditions. Only two out of eleven schools managed to finish their second round at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Club – Ackerman Hills Course before play was interrupted by adverse weather.

The suspension left Eastern Illinois among nine teams with players still on the course when officials decided to halt play. The event organizers said that remaining players will resume and complete their rounds on Tuesday morning, after which the final 18 holes of championship stroke play will take place. All pairings from Monday’s second round are set to carry over into Tuesday’s final round.

Alex Siatos and Luke Watson were able to complete their second rounds before play was suspended, while Jacke Roche, Ian Hollander, and Cole Jaworski were still competing when play stopped.

The interruption highlights how outdoor sporting events can be impacted by unpredictable weather, affecting schedules and competition outcomes for athletes and teams.
