State Representative Chris Miller of Hindsboro has issued a response following Governor JB Pritzker’s annual State of the State and Budget Address delivered to the Illinois General Assembly.

In his statement, Miller criticized the governor’s budget proposals and fiscal policies. “Today’s budget address was a slap in the face to all taxpayers and businesses across the state of Illinois and JB Pritzker is responsible for the radical policies that have turned our state upside down,” said Miller. “Since Pritzker has been in office, we have seen forty-nine tax hikes enacted, billions wasted on illegal immigrants and NGO’s, and budgets that have ballooned beyond reasonable measures to the point where taxpayers are now Pritzker’s number one source of revenue to cover the bills of unchecked spending within the Governor’s administration.”

Miller encouraged constituents seeking more information to contact his office at (217) 508-4108.

He represents Illinois’ 101st House District, which covers parts of Coles County as well as portions of Champaign, Douglas, and Vermilion Counties along the I-57 corridor. Miller, a Republican, was elected in 2023 to replace former representative Reggie Phillips.
