State Representative Brad Halbrook recognized Ralph W. Rounds II at the State Capitol last week, according to a Mar. 24 announcement.
Rounds is a retired United States Air Force veteran and third-generation service member, with family members who served in World War II and the Korean War. He has lived in Illinois’ 107th District since 1989 and is described as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Halbrook represents the 107th District in Central Illinois and is serving his seventh term in the Illinois General Assembly. The district includes communities across Macon, Shelby, Christian, Effingham, Montgomery, Cumberland, and Moultrie counties.
Halbrook was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 as a Republican representative for the state’s 107th House District, replacing Blaine Wilhour according to available information.
The recognition of Rounds highlights both his military service and commitment to community values within the district.
